About Avanti Library Systems Avanti Library Systems grew out of an effort to create a simple flexible open source OPAC for small libraries. The result was MicroLCS, which encapsulates effective simplicity, careful design at all levels and doing one thing really well. Today we are taking some of the ideas and design philosophy developed in the making of MicroLCS and applying them to Nova, a radically different semantic mapping system currently in development that has many potential applications in libraries and other areas. By focusing on simplicity, basic principles and solid clean design, Avanti Library Systems is dedicated to developing software tools for the library community that are easy to use, powerful, and that can provide new and effective ways of managing information. |
